How to Add a Review

The best reviews are passionate and personal. They offer a rich narrative, a wealth of detail, and a helpful tip or two for other consumers. 

Think about your recent experience at our business - could you put details in there that would help future consumers like you?  

• Try detailing your favorite (or least favorite) dishes at your local restaurant.
• Talk about an experience that will keep you coming back (or staying away) for years to come.
• Highlight an employee who went the extra mile to make your experience memorable.
• Include tips about the best time to arrive, where to park, or where the best seating is. 
• Describe why you’ll be using this service again for your next project. 

What should I leave out of my review? 

You should aim to keep your review accurate and reflective of a genuine, personal experience. For example, personal opinions (“the food here is the best”) are good, but speculation or exaggeration (“they probably use unicorn meat in their tacos”) is something we frown upon. 

YELP

Yelp allows users to contribute different kinds of content, including reviews, photos, videos, events, votes, tips, private messages, and more.

• Every page on Yelp has a navigation bar with links to various areas on the site. Click any of those links to get to your desired area.

• To post a review, find the Write a Review link and click it. You land on a search page. Type the name of the business and city in the Business Name and Near text boxes, and click the Search Businesses button.

• Scroll through the group of loosely related listings to find the exact business you’re searching for. When you find the matching business name (and location) click the Write a Review link next to the address on the page.

• On the review form, put your mouse pointer over the stars to select the star ranking you wish to give (one to five), and click your selection. On the Complete Your Review page, you see the review form on the left — and other folks’ reviews of the business on the right.

• Type your review in the text box. Scroll down the page and optionally add an evaluation of whether you feel the photos of the business give a good representation, and click from one to four dollar signs to give others an idea of the pricing of the product or services you’ve received.

• When you’re done, click Post. Your review appears on Yelp for all to see — and on your About Me Profile page. From your profile, you can update a review at any time.

FACEBOOK

You can rate and review businesses that have ratings and reviews on their Page. From the Page you want to review:

• Go to the Reviews section on the left side of the Page's Timeline.
• Click the gray stars to choose a rating and write an optional review.
• Click to select your audience.
• Click Done.

Your rating and review may appear on the Page and will be Public unless you change your audience. For example, if you select Friends as your audience, only your friends who visit the Page will see your rating and review. Only star ratings that are shared with Public are included in the Page's overall rating.

GOOGLE+

Customers must have Google+ accounts in order to write a review through their Google+ accounts.

First, go to the Google+ business page that you would like to review. 2. To leave a review, look for the “Write a review” button located at the bottom part of the business page. You can also click on the pencil icon located on the right side of the business name.

Choose the quality of service from Poor to Excellent. Click “Publish” when you are done writing your review. That’s it!
